1963 Ford Galaxie

Here for sale is my 1963 Ford Galaxie 500XL Z code after many years of full nut and bolt frame off restoration. She is a genuine Z code car running a fully rebuilt 390FE 6. 4 litre big block engine mated to an upgraded rebuilt C6 auto transmission. Also upgraded to disk brakes on the front.

The restoration included

• Full chassis restoration back to bare metal any welding needed was done.
• Full bare metal respray in original Rangoon red (correct to code on vin)
• New suspension rebuild front to back every ball joint and bearing new rear leaf springs new shock absorbers.
• Complete engine and gearbox rebuild re core on radiator new alternator start motor water pump coil in the cap distributor powder coated rocker covers and sump air filter etc new engine mounts C6 gearbox custom mounts new prop shaft balanced and new universal joints.
• Lower control arm offset bolts upgraded to reengineered straight bolt to help with handling on a straight road.
• SSBC disk brake conversion on the front duel circuit master cylinder with brake booster and in line proportioning valve to the new drum brakes at rear all new brake lines (i do have the original front brake set up with the car all new and rebuilt).
• Original wiring loom completely go through with only minor repairs needed everything functioning as it should. I have added extra gauges as can been seen in the pictures under dash rev counter voltage meter temp gauge and oil pressure (high quality gauges). Dash lights converted to LED refurbished gauge cluster
• New fuel tank new fuel lines electronic fuel pump operating on a fused switch.
• Custom made 2. 5 inch stainless steel exhaust (sounds fantastic rumbles very nicely)
• Power roof new hood material working as it should
• Power windows all working nicely
• Vintage slot mag wheels loads of tread on tyres
• Chrome bumpers new (i do have originals)

The interior has its original seat covers and door card covers in a very nice condition i did not replace these as i would have lost some of the original features and it has a great patina look. All new carpet set imported from America also the boot liner.

I have a huge restoration file of invoices history prior to my ownership and original service books from when she was in USA also photo of all aspects of the restoration over the last 4/ 5 years. This car has been a joy to rebuild and bring back to life from where i found her in bits on eBay.
